Admissions in M.Tech./ M.Tech.(Part-Time) / M.Tech. (Executive) Programmes, Batch 2025-26

ADMISSION RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. The candidate is advised to apply for admission only if he/she fulfils the eligibility requirements.
  2. The onus of checking appropriate eligibility lies with the candidate. Candidate must read and understand the details given in the guidelines available on the web site http://www.dauniv.ac.in carefully before filling the application form.
  3. Check the form thoroughly before online payment, unpaid form will not be accepted in any case.
  4. Candidate must upload following documents :
    • Recent size photograph
    • Valid GATE/GPAT score card (If applicable)
    • For Full-Time Programmes: Mark Sheets/Grade Sheets upto seventh semester (in case of eight semester programme, e.g. B.E./ B.Tech.)/ fifth semester (in case of sixth semester programme, e.g. MCA)/ third semester (in case of four semester programme, e.g. M.Sc.).
    • For Sponsored Candidates in Full-Time Programmes; Part-Time/ Executive Programmes: Mark Sheets/Grade Sheets upto final semester of eligibility degree.
  5. The Online application fee (non-refundable) is Rs.1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates of M.P. domicile). In addition to the application fee a portal fee, Rs. 50/- will also be applicable. If a candidate applies for two groups then he/ she has to pay application fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1200/- for SC/ST candidates) + Rs. 50/- (Portal fees). Candidate can pay fee online through MP-Online authorized KIOSK in MP or through any ATM cum Debit Card/ Credit Card or Net Banking from anywhere. If your amount is deducted and receipt is not generated, pay the fee again, as previous amount will be reverted automatically into your card or bank account.   6. Select the Group (s) as per your choice. The candidate may opt for more than one group, if he/ she fulfils the eligibility requirements. Also fill up your choice for the academic programmes listed in the selected Group(s) in order of preference, subject to fulfilling eligibility of the programme.
  7. Procedure of admission :
    1. Admission in M.Tech. Programmes:
      1. For GATE/GPAT qualified candidates: Preference will be given to GATE/GPAT qualified candidates. Admission shall be made on a merit list developed on the basis of GATE/GPAT score for each programme. However, in case of non- availability of GATE/GPAT qualified candidates, admission will be offered to NON- GATE/NON-GPAT candidates.
      2. For NON-GATE/NON-GPAT candidates: Admission shall be made on the basis of a merit list developed for each programme considering average marks / CGPA upto seventh semester (B.E./ B.Tech)/ fifth semester (M.C.A.) /third semester (M.Sc.).
      3. For Sponsored Candidates: Admission shall be given on the basis of merit developed as per the criteria in 7.2 for M.Tech. (Part-Time) / M.Tech. (Executive) Programmes. Any seat(s) remains vacant under sponsored category in any programme on the day of counselling, will be converted to unreserved category and admission shall be offered as per 7.1.1 or 7.1.2. .
    2. Admission in M.Tech. (Part-Time) /M.Tech. (Executive) Programmes:
      The admissions will be made as per the merit developed on the basis of % of marks obtained in the following categories:

      * Service experience - 4 marks per year limited to maximum 20 marks.
    4. Admission will be done as per the Merit prepared on the basis of Qualifying Examination. After provisional admission the candidate is required to deposit partial fee of Rs.10,000/- through online mode only (https://davv.mponline.gov.in ) within the notified period, failing which the seat will be considered as vacant and will be offered to other candidates as per the order of merit.
    5. The admission will be confirmed after verification of the documents. For the document verification, candidate has to report at concern School of Studies /Institute on notified date and time. After the confirmation of admission, candidate has to deposit remaining fee within the notified period. During the process of document verification, if it is found that an applicant has provided incorrect or false information or withheld some relevant information at the time of filling up the online application form, the applicant shall be debarred from admission or the admission can be cancelled at any time during the course of studies without giving any prior notice.
    6. If a candidate fails to deposit fee within the notified period, his/her admission will be treated as cancelled and the seat will be offered to other candidate as per the order of merit and choice of the candidate.
  8. AICTE Scholarships to GATE/GPAT Qualified Candidates:
    There are 13 stipend seats approved by AICTE @ Rs. 12400 per month under Direct Benefit Transfer scheme for each regular M.Tech (Group A,C,E) programme.
    * As per Approval Process Handbook 2023-2024, AICTE has decided to discontinue the approval of Pharmacy Programmes and Extension of approval with effect from 2023-2024. The AICTE further decided that grant of GPAT scholarship by the AICTE also be discontinued from 2023-2024. Till date there is no official intimation that which agency will provide scholarship to GPAT qualified students.
  9. Reservation :
    1. The reservation rules of government of Madhya Pradesh will be applicable for the admission for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (Non creamy Layer), and Horizontal Reservation for female candidates.
    2. Seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer) category will be offered to the SC/ST/ OBC (Non creamy layer) candidates of Madhya Pradesh domicile only. SC/ST/ OBC (Non creamy layer) candidates from other states and the candidates from other reserved categories from any state will be treated under unreserved category.
    3. SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer) candidates have to produce valid category certificate and M.P. domicile certificate issued by competent authorities at the time of document verification.Change of category shall not be accepted thereafter at any stage therefore candidates are advised to take utmost precaution while selecting category.
    4. Reservation for Economical weaker section (EWS) candidates of Madhya Pradesh is as per Rule of government of Madhya Pradesh.
  10. The name of the candidate must be the same as given in the mark sheet of the qualifying examination. Competent authorities should certify the discrepancies in the name of various mark sheets, if any.
  11. No age limit for admission in M.Tech./ M.Tech.(Part-Time)/ M.Tech. (Executive) Programmes.
  12. In case any University / Institute do not show percentage of marks in the mark sheet, a certificate from the competent authority of the University / Institute must be produced stating equivalent percentage of marks as well.
  13. Refund Rules
    1. If a candidate, who has paid partial or full fee, withdraws his/her admission within the notified period, Rs. 1,000/- will be deducted and remaining amount will be refunded after the audit. (Generally the process takes six month time).
    2. If a candidate who has paid full fee and withdraws his/her admission after the notified period, only caution money of Rs. 4,000 will be refunded after the audit.
    3. If a candidate who has paid partial fee and does not withdraw his/her admission within the notified period, his/her admission shall be treated cancelled and no refund will be made.
  14. Limited hostel accommodation is available within the campus of the university having four boys’ hostels and five girls’ hostels. For hostel accommodation admitted candidates are required to contact Chief Warden, Hostels, DAVV, Indore. Students staying in hostel are not allowed to work outside in part/full time.
  15. All admitted students, who are not enrolled with the University, would be required to enroll themselves as per University rules.
  16. Any legal dispute regarding admission is subject to Indore jurisdiction.
  17. The decision of the University Authorities shall be final and binding in the matters relating to admission.
  18. The rules may be modified without any prior notice and any modification so made shall be binding.
